Zuzzy mat

For those times when I don't want to lug around a huge board for away games, I bought a zuzzy mat.  It's a product from Zuzzy.com .  It is a latex mat that rolls up.  It comes unpainted. Here's how I got it all finished.

Paint very lightly with a stippling method.  You can't paint too thickly on the mat or the paint will crack when you roll it up.  This mat is called Sulfur Fields.

Painting the shale a light grey and the stones a flat black.  The stippling method really gives you fuzzy edges so all areas blend together.
I applied a black wash to the grey and black areas.  It took really well, and brought out a decent amount of detail.
here is the wash on the brown as well.
back to my original shade of grey for drybrushing on the grey and black.. then added a bit of white to step it up a bit.  brown then a lighter brown on the sulfur areas with a touch of yellow.

The finished mat has a high amount of detail.  I was very pleased with the product and will buying more in the future.  The only downside is that it is a one man company and operation.  It takes 2-5 weeks to get a mat once you order it.  This is not stated until after you make payment.  If you are in a hurry to get your mat plan for the delay.  Also,  I sent several emails to the company and was many weeks before receiving a reply.
